About Me

I have over a decade’s experience working with clients who bring their unique stories, agonies, pains and more often than you think, their joys.

My experience includes:

Co-facilitating an Art Therapy group.

Working as a therapist at a Low Cost Counselling Service.

Holding a reflexive practice for artists, writers and makers working with community groups.

Mentoring writers (one to one) at a Mental Health drop in centre.

I trained at the Institute for the Arts in Therapy and Education and received an Advanced Diploma in the Therapeutic Application of the Arts.

I then trained at Re-Vision and received a Diploma in Integrative Transpersonal Counselling and then later a Diploma in Psychotherapy.

The training took years and I bring that professionalism and dedication to my work now.

I am a member of BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists) and an accredited Psychotherapist with UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy).

More and more, I see therapy as a subversive act — a quiet (and sometimes not-so-quiet) refusal to stay small. It’s the work of becoming fully yourself, in a world that often asks us to be something else.

Carl Jung called this process individuation — the lifelong journey of becoming whole. You could also call it an act of resistance: choosing to show up as who you really are, rather than who the world has told you to be.

However you frame it, therapy is about coming home to yourself — your truths, your contradictions, your wildness, your grief, your tenderness. This is authenticity. This is what it means to be real.

Inclusivity

My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming and rooted in an awareness of structural oppressions — racism, patriarchy, ableism, the class system, capitalism, and the systems that harm both people and the Earth.

These systems shape how we see ourselves and what we believe we’re worth. They teach us to bend, shrink, or silence parts of who we are to survive. They shame us when we step outside the lines. This isn’t personal failure — it’s the weight of cultural and structural oppression, and it impacts all of us, though in different ways.

Therapy, when done with awareness, becomes a place to unravel that harm — to see where we’ve been shaped by forces that were never ours to carry.

A Space for Your Story

I invite you to bring your whole story — the parts you’re proud of and the parts you’ve been taught to hide. The benefit of this work isn’t just feeling better (though that often happens too). It’s the freedom to see yourself differently — to shift out of shame, release that sense of “something must be wrong with me,” and begin to understand yourself with compassion and clarity.

This is the deep work of reclaiming yourself — and you don’t have to do it alone.

Your Story is Welcome

How I work

Therapy with me is a collaborative journey where we work together to explore what is troubling you, uncover patterns, and deepen your understanding of yourself. Sessions are a space for talking, listening, reflecting, and challenging old stories that no longer serve you.

I work:

Relationally

  • working with the connection between us to reflect the patterns in your other relationships. Through this dynamic, we uncover deeper truths about how you relate to others, creating space for healing and growth. This process helps you build more authentic connections with yourself and those around you.

Psychodynamically

  • exploring past patterns and unconscious beliefs that shape your present. In our work together, we’ll uncover these influences, allowing you to heal, release what no longer serves you, and find more clarity and grounding in your life.

Attachment Aware

  • Exploring how your early relationships shape the way you connect with others today. By understanding these deep-rooted patterns, we can work together to heal past wounds, build secure connections, and create healthier, more trusting relationships moving forward.

Trauma Informed

  • I work as a trauma-informed practitioner, and with care will notice together the wisdom your body holds.. I understand that healing is not about fixing what’s broken, but about gently tending to the parts of you that learned to survive. We listen for what wants to be seen, honoured, and released — allowing you to reclaim a sense of safety, connection, and trust within yourself.

Soulfully

  • It’s about honouring the whole of you — mind, body, and emotions. We won’t ignore the bigger picture of where you are in life. And we won’t ignore the daydreams, imaginings, flights of fancy, whims, night dreams, the song you’ve been humming all morning. They might not make sense but they more than likely have something meaningful to say.

My work is rooted in the belief that true healing comes from learning to trust your inner knowing. We are always creating space for you to listen to the quieter intuitive voice within that’s waiting to be heard.
